Flowers, fizzing glasses and fluorescent jellies: symbols of celebration abound in Laura Smith’s new selection of paintings. This is our second solo show of her work, and it’s perfectly timed for the festive season.
Trained at the Slade School of Fine Art, where she received the Clare Winsten Memorial Award, Laura’s canvases sing with the beauty and poetry of everyday objects – all delicately and thoughtfully rendered in paint. Since then she has been exhibited in group shows at 155a Gallery, Piano Nobile and Rebecca Hossack. She is one of our very favourite gallery artists at Crean & Company, and one whom we hope to do even more with in 2024. Until then, it’s our pleasure to share this jewel box of paintings with you this Christmas.
